Terrible start for Atleti: Gimenez injured and Cornella take shock lead

Things did not start well for Atletico Madrid at Cornella, where they conceded a very early goal and they were hit hard by Gimenez's injury.

After seven minutes, Adrian Jimenez turned home a free-kick to beat second choice Atletico Madrid keeper San Roman in the goal. 

It was completely unexpected and Cornella went ahead. It is worth remembering that Atletico were knocked out last season in the third round by Cultural Leonesa. 

But that was not the only bad piece of news. Jose Maria Gimenez, who returned to the starting line-up for the Copa del Rey match, went off injured after 11 minutes and Savic replaced him.
