Ter Stegen flies to Bordeaux for back surgery, insists "relationship with club intact"

Ter Stegen is a name on everyone's lips at Barcelona. The German goalkeeper, who announced last Thursday that he would undergo surgery to resolve his back problems, set off for Bordeaux this Monday to undergo the procedure on Tuesday.
Carlos Monfort, a journalist from 'Sport', was alert at one of the airport terminals and managed to get a few words from the German before he boarded. When asked about his health, the goalkeeper responded with irony: "If you have to have surgery, I think something's up, right?" Another question was whether his relationship with the club is good: "Always good. Rock solid. Yes, yes."
Ter Stegen looked very cheerful at all times before facing an operation that could mark his future at Barça. It should not be forgotten that the goalkeeper himself announced that he will be out for about three months - the time estimated by the doctors - which has caused some unrest among Barcelona fans.
From within the club, there is a feeling that the German may be using the situation to exert pressure. The 'Azulgrana' side, aware of the goalkeeper's back problems, had planned to use 80% of his salary to register Joan García. However, this will not be possible because a four-month absence was required to make it effective, as it is considered a long-term injury.
