Ter Stegen denies Barca exit rumours

Ter Stegen is not leaving Barcelona. Faced with rumours of a possible departure, the goalkeeper dismissed any doubts: “No one has spoken to me. I know I will be at Barcelona next year. Barca is one of the biggest clubs and competition is normal. For me, the situation is not going to change”.
“I am very excited about next season with a very young, dynamic team with a lot of enthusiasm. It has been seen this year. And now, with the experience we have gained, hopefully we will be more successful,” the goalkeeper said, before ignoring the almost-renewed Wojciech Szczesny.
“If I remember correctly, we have two goalkeepers for next season: Inaki (Pena) and myself. That there is competition is normal. Whoever comes in will have to compete as it has always been at Barca. We have always had goalkeepers with ambition. That's the way it should be. We want the best players. It doesn't matter the position. I always want to be on the pitch, to give my all, and as long as I'm performing, I think I'll continue to be there,” he said from the German national team training camp.
Finally, Ter Stegen was questioned about his fitness after the long injury and recovery he has faced: “I wanted to get back to the best possible physical level. And I've achieved that more than well. I am very happy with what we have achieved together with the people who worked with me, and, from there, to grow as a footballer”.
