"Ten Hag was like a dictator"

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been accused of being a "dictator". These words left the mouth of footballer Riccardo Basta, who had the Dutchman as his manager between 2013 and 2015 at the Bayern Munich reserves side.
"Every child dreams of becoming a pro footballer and at Bayern I was very close to that dream. But I was made fun of and made false promises", the now VfR Garching player started to say.
He then added: "After my first contract renewal, Ten Hag said to me that he was going to use me and that he had a plan for me. It was expected that I was to become that link between the first and second team and, occasionally I was going to be in the first team. I thought that he was great, of course. In reality, however, it didn't work out like that at all".
"Personally, I didn't have a good relationship with Ten Hag. He was almost like a dictator. He had a plan and we as players had to follow it", the midfielder concluded.
