Tchouameni to be rested against Cadiz ahead of Bayern showdown

France midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni did not train on Thursday, in the first session after the 2-2 draw in Germany, due to a knock to his left foot which, according to 'EFE' sources at the club, does not put his participation in the Champions League second leg against Bayern Munich next Wednesday at risk.

The player's discomfort, together with the fact that Real Madrid have La Liga title in their pocket, suggests that he will be rested for Saturday's game against Cadiz (16:15 CEST).

A match in which goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois could make his comeback. The Belgian returned to training with the rest of the squad and, if Carlo Ancelotti fulfils what was announced on Monday, he will play his first game of the season after overcoming two knee injuries.

It would do so in a game in which Cadiz are trying to make the most of their chances of survival, five points from dropping out of the relegation places, while Real Madrid have their first chance to become La Liga champions.

Real Madrid will win their 36th domestic title if they win the game and Barcelona fail to do the same at Montilivi against Girona at 18:30 CEST.

In the event of clinching the title, Real Madrid, according to 'EFE', have no celebrations scheduled for Thursday due to the fixture list, with the second leg of the semi-final against Bayern on Wednesday.

Ancelotti will have to make the same changes to his lineup as he did last Friday in San Sebastian, which he began to outline in a training session at the 'Merengues' training complex in which the coach planned tactical exercises, ball possession and control, before finishing the session with games on small pitches and several series of sprints.
