Last December was an intense month for news about the European football map that awaits. The European Court ruling and its clarification on the creation of new competitions indirectly opened the door to the creation of the Super League, a project managed by A22 Sports Management. The CEO, Bernd Reichart, already explained formats, sketches and ideology, but he has talked about it again in his interview for 'Mundo Deportivo'.
"Inside of the Super League, the competition, there will be special privileges for anyone. There will be no permanent members nor unfair treatment. The Super League will revitalize the domestic leagues. It will be adopted into the national calendar allow the participating clubs to grow and retain talent," he said.
"The matches will be free to watch on our platform all around the world. People who want a more sophisticated platform will be able to pay for a premium version," revealed the Super League CEO.
"With the current Champions League format, there's a lot of useless matches in the group stage. Matches where the result don't really affect the table. People don't care to watch them, and they will keep on coming if it's not changed," concluded the German businessman.
