The Sunderland board have already chosen who they want to be their next manager. According to 'TMW', they are now negotiating with Gareth Ainsworth, the Wycombe Wanderers manager.

There's change coming on the bench in League 1. Gareth Ainsworth, current Wycombe Wanderers manager, is the favourite to become the Sunderland manager.

'TMW' affirms that the deal could be done soon. Wycombe Wanderers have already given their manager permission to negotiate with Sunderland if he wants.

Several names have been touted. Phil Parkinson is the latest one.

We will have to see if it is eventually the Wycombe man who becomes the Sunderland manager.
