Suarez retired from international football because of Bielsa

Luis Suarez is now history for the Uruguay national team. Against Paraguay, he put an end to his time with his national team, with whom he played 143 games and scored 68 goals.
This departure could have taken place several months later but finally took place in September. All this, after a conversation with coach Marcelo Bielsa, as revealed by 'ESPN'.
The 37-year-old's idea was to stay with the national team until the end of 2024, especially after the five-match suspension that Darwin Nunez is serving. And that's what he told Bielsa.
However, the coach could not assure Suarez that he would be called up for the October and November games, so Suarez made the final decision to retire in front of his home crowd.
