Spurs waiting on jan Vertonghen head injury

Tottenham are currently awaiting an update on whether Jan Vertonghen will be able to face Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.
Spurs face Bournemouth in the Saturday lunchtime match as they look to cement their place in the Champions League for next season.
Spurs are currently third in the Premier League on 70 points, with Chelsea on 68, Arsenal on 66 and Manchester United on 65. Realistically a win on Saturday will ensure Tottenham's place in Europe's elite competition for next season.
Of course Spurs also face Ajax in the Champions League Semi-Final second leg in Amsterdam, with the London side a goal down after Donny Van de Beek's early goal in the first leg.
Vertonghen went down after a sickening head injury when clashing with the head of fellow Belgian defender Toby Alderweireld, he was initially allowed to continue, before almost immediately saying he could not, with Vertonghen barely able to stand up.
'After the game was good, he was more relaxed and felt better. Now we need to see the report from the specialist. We don't know (if he can face Bournemouth), we need to wait. That is going to be a decision from the medical staff. We cannot guess now. We hope it is not a big issue and he is available soon.' Pochettino said.
The injury to Vertonghen has reopened the concerns over concussion issues, with the Belgian showing clear signs of concussion.
