Spurs' Romero 'would like to play' in Spain

Cristian 'Cuti' Romero did not have his best night against Nottingham Forest. Spurs suffered another defeat against the Tricky Trees and the Argentine centre-back, who started the game, was substituted at half-time after picking up a yellow card at the end of the first half.
The Argentine centre-back's future at the London club is up in the air and rumours have started to circulate even more after his controversial statements in which he admitted that he would like to play in Spain.
"We're in the Europa League semi-finals, I want to finish the season on a high note. After that, we'll see," he told 'Los Edul'. "A league I would like to play in would be Spain to compete in all the major leagues," he concluded.
The Spurs defender has made just 23 appearances for Ange Postecoglou's side due to a long-term injury, but it looks unlikely that the club will let him leave this summer unless a good offer comes in, as his contract expires in 2027.
