Sporting president reveals Gyokeres minimum price tag for Arsenal

There is no doubt that Viktor Gyokeres will be one of the transfer sagas of the summer. The Sporting CP striker has several offers, especially from the Premier League and Arsenal, and a lot of money on the table. The president of the Portuguese club Frederico Varandas was asked by the media and analysed the situation.
"Sporting don't need to sell Viktor Gyokeres. Fortunately, we are past the stage of selling our main asset. But we are still sensitive to the dreams of Viktor or any other player. Sporting have a compromise in which, after weeks of meetings, they will not ask for the value of the clause, it will be reasonable in relation to the value asked by Viktor," he began.
And he went further, considering that his departure is practically guaranteed: "I think Viktor can leave, unless he has the worst agent in the world, which I don't think so, because he is one of the best players in the world".
But the fee won't be low: ''I'm not going to reveal the exact figure, but Viktor and his agent already know what we consider acceptable. He simply won't leave for 60 million plus 10 million in variables. It's not a negotiating tactic, it's not going to happen".
"Viktor already knows that, his agent knows that, what I want is for Sporting fans to know that and enjoy the summer, to be calm because there are only two scenarios: the first, that a club respects Viktor's decent market value and from that moment we will be fully prepared to attack the target. In a second scenario, that club doesn't want Viktor, Viktor doesn't want any other project, he has three years left on his contract and he stays at Sporting. We will be very, very happy," Varandas concluded.
