Spartak Trnava punished for racist chants

European footballing body UEFA confirmed the punishment in a statement on Friday, and also fined the Slovakian side £19k (€22k) for blocked stairways and the improper conduct of their players, five of whom received yellow cards, in their Europa League home fixture against Anderlecht in September.

Spartak Trnava won that game against the Belgian side Anderlect 1-0, and will host Group D leaders Dinamo Zagreb at the City Arena in Tranava on October 25th.

Zagreb are top of Europa League's Group D, six points ahead of Slovakians Spartak Trnava and Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce, both on three points. Meanwhile, Anderlect are bottom of the group, and are yet to earn a point so far in the competition this season.
