Spanish ref Gil Manzano suspended after controversial Madrid draw

The refereeing appointments for La Liga matchday 29 are now official. Gil Manzano remains suspended after the controversy that marred the end of the draw between Valencia and Real Madrid.

Jude Bellingham scored the 2-3 in stoppage time, but the referee blew the whistle in the moments before the goal. The match ended 2-2 despite the huge anger of the 'Merengue' team and the red card that the English star saw.

The Real Madrid player will finish his suspension against Osasuna. At the same time, Gil Manzano will have no refereeing duties on matchday 29, when Valencia visit Villarreal on Sunday at 16:15 CET.

In terms of the highlights, Sanchez Martinez will referee the key match between Atletico Madrid and Barcelona. Melero Lopez will be in charge of the VAR. Martínez Munuera will be in the middle at El Sadar.
