Spain wanted to 'dominate more' in France victory, says Pedri

The Spanish national team won in a match of pure frenzy against France to secure its place in the final of the Nations League (5-4). Tenerife's Pedri, who scored one of the goals for ‘la Roja’, regretted not having had more of the ball.
"We were nervous until the end. We did not imagine a game like this, but the important thing is that we are in the final. We scored the chances we had. We didn't dominate the game as much as we would have liked, but we were clinical up front. I have better memories of here now than at the European Championship (he was injured).
On the other hand, the midfielder referred to the change of position with Mikel Merino: "When I am in contact with the ball I feel more comfortable. The coach told us to change and it was for the better. When we have the ball, we have players up front that make magic. It's important to give them as many balls as possible".
Finally, Pedri predicted a tough battle against Portugal for the title. "It's clear that it won't be easy. It wasn't easy against France either. We have to appreciate being in the final again, which is not easy. I'm happy for the team, which once again overcame everything," he concluded.
