Spain v Argentina - Preview and possible lineups

Spain: The hosts will be without playmaker David Silva after he dropped out of the squad due to personal reasons. Real Madrid duo Lucas Vazquez and Marco Asensio are among the names vying for a place in the starting lineup, whilst Julen Lopetegui could use the game as an opportunity to test back-ups defenders Marcos Alonso, Alvaro Odriozola and Nacho against world-class opposition.
Argentina: Lionel Messi could start after returning to training on Sunday, whilst the likes of Marcos Rojo, Javier Mascherano and Ever Banega are all expected to come into the side.
Spain midfielder Saul Ñiguez on his side's chances and Lionel Messi:
"Since Lopetegui's arrival we've done well in the qualifiers. The team is in good shape, but there's room for improvement and time to prepare. This is an exciting national side.
"We're interested in everyone being healthy, without injuries. Argentina is a great team. If Messi doesn't play, Correa will and he can mess things up for us at any point. We have to watch out."
Argentina boss Jorge Sampaoli on the search for Lionel Messi's strike partner:
"Messi's partner is going to choose Messi. One will determine the other because Messi always plays.Another's partner could be anyone, but as he plays, it's his style that marks the profile of the partner he needs the most.
"It's not that I'm going to decide because he wants this or that, that's the job of the coach. It's about finding the one who communicates the best with him in different moments of the game.
"If you arrive at the national team, it is because you are very good, but not everyone manages to cope with the pressure of wearing this shirt. They are human beings who come from different places and with roles that, in many cases, have to change. We have to play for 40 million Argentineans".
