Southampton come from behind to beat Jiangsu Suning in pre-season

The Saints were playing in their final match in China on their preseason tour in the Far-East, as their manager got to see a number of his players in action as they prepare for a return to Premier League action in August.
Manolo Gabbiadini was on the scoresheet for his team, hoping that he will have a more successful time in the league next season, as he managed only 5 goals in the club's last campaign.
The Chinese outfit then came back in the game through a strike from Zhang Lingfeng and then took the lead shortly after to make their Premier League opposition look nervous.
However, winger Nathan Remdond scored an equalising goal in the second half before Sam Gallagher, who had come off the bench, made the impact his coach was looking for and grabbed Southampton's third and winning goal.
New signing Stuart Armstrong, who joined the club for a £7 million fee from Celtic over the summer tried to make his mark on his new team from range early in the match, but failed with his attempt. He will have impressed Hughes later on in the match as he provided the assist for Gabbiadini.
The victory means that they picked up a win and a draw in the matches in China, and will now fly to Thailand for another friendly match before flying back to the UK at the end of the week.
