Son's Tottenham career ends with warm farewell and playful shoves

Son's chapter at Tottenham has come to a close. The forward, who announced his departure after a decade with the club, played his last game for the North London side on Sunday.

The occasion was particularly poignant, taking place before a crowd that included many of his fellow countrymen. Every time the number 7, now a living Spurs legend, touched the ball, he was met with warm applause, culminating in a rapturous ovation in the seventh minute.

The most touching moment came in the 65th minute when Son took the time to say goodbye to each of his teammates. Emotion visibly overcame the Chuncheon native, who likely never imagined the day he would bring his Tottenham career to an end.

Even the opposition joined the guard of honour formed by Spurs players, with playful shoves exchanged in good spirit. The fans rose to their feet to show their gratitude for all that Son has given to the club and his country.

From the bench, substitutes and coaching staff also paid their respects, moving the forward deeply. His next destination is expected to be Los Angeles FC.
