'Similar to the feeling when we had Messi' - Pedri praises Lamine Yamal

Lamine Yamal has become Barcelona's superstar at just 17 years of age and many people are beginning to compare him to Leo Messi, one of the greatest players in history and an iconic legend of the Catalan club. 

Despite his young age, many are beginning to consider whether the young Spanish winger can reach the heights that the Argentinian star has reached, although it seems hard to believe. 

In fact, there have been several footballing personalities who have said that the Barca gem is reminiscent of Leo Messi, with Pedri being the latest to join in.

The Spanish midfielder, ahead of the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Dortmund, praised Yamal in an interview with “El Pais”.

"When Lamine gets the ball, you know he’s gonna dribble the first opponent easily… and then something can happen. It’s similar to the feeling we had when Messi was in the squad," he said.
