Sergio 'infallible' Ramos

Sergio Ramos is not only Spain's leader and captain, but also the most reliable goalscorer Luis Enrique's side have right now even though it sounds strange. Ramos, who is also Real Madrid's captain, is a central defender, but he has always had a goalscoring instinct. He gave 'La Roja' victory against Norway with a Panenka penalty.  And he is as safe as houses. An expert penalty taker. This season he has scored 10 penalties for Real Madrid and Spain. That is the same number he has taken since he has yet to miss.

Eight of those 10 goals have come for Real Madrid. After Cristiano's departure, he has taken over penalty kick duties. No one can question his efficency. 

No mistakes

Sergio Ramos has not missed a penalty since May last year which was at the Sanchez.Pizjuan (Sevilla's ground). In other words, he has scored 12 successive penalties. He has only missed 3 in his whole career: his famous Champions League penalty in the shootout against Bayern Munich in 2012 which went well over the bar and two others with Spain which were in the Confederations Cup final against Brazil and in the group stage of Euro 2016 against Croatia. The man from Sevilla has an impressive record: he has scored 20 penalties from 24.

Close to Villa, Hierro and Pirri

Despite being a defender, Ramos has scored for Spain in his last five games, which means he is close to a record shared by three legends of the Spanish national team. The captain is one away from the Spain record shared by Villa, Hierro and Pirri who netted in six consecutive matches.

These are numbers which are better than Spain's strikers. He has scored 17 goals in total, four more than Morata and is also the highest scorer since Luis Enrique took over with five goals. Paco Alcácer and Rodrigo are next with three.
