Schindler adds to Fulham’s growing list of problems

It is a result that leaves Fulham, and their manager, in a perilous position. In a game that was already being billed as a relegation six-pointer, Huddersfield have given their fans at least some momentary respite.
Fulham made one change, bringing in Le Marchand in defence, but it was up front where they lacked. The attack failed to generate a single shot on goal in the first half, and by the time they did begin to threaten time was running out.
Pritchard hit the bar for the hosts giving an early warning, before Schindler opened the scoring with a towering header on the half-hour mark. Fulham failed to clear their lines following a corner and Schindler beat his man to the high ball at the back post.
A double change at the half made little difference for Jokanovic, and things went from bad to worse for Scott McDonald. He was forced off the pitch 19 minutes after coming on through injury, and the away side we forced into a final change with little under half an hour to go.
The ‘Terriers’ went on to look the more threatening throughout the game, but it was one low on quality that perhaps explains why both sides are where they are in the table. David Wagner was ecstatic at full-time, giving fist pumps to the crowd.
Fulham have five points from their opening 11 matches, and only one win in that time. With his team now rooted to the bottom of the table, despite over €100m of investment in the summer, Serbian Jokanovic looked very much like a man who knows his time could be up.
