Sassuolo sign Agustin Alvarez

Sassuolo announced on Friday the signing of Uruguayan striker Agustin Alvarez from Penarol for the next five seasons until 2027.
The Uruguayan striker (San Bautista, 2001) lands on Italian soil after two and a half seasons playing forPenarol, where he made a total of 65 appearances and scored 23 goals.
At 21 years of age, the Uruguayan international joins the long list of Uruguayan talent that has been linked to the Penarol youth academy, which includes recent Liverpool signing Darwin Nunez and current Champions League winner with Real Madrid, Fede Valverde.
Agustin Alvarez will be a new addition to Sassuolo's attacking line-up, which has shown themselves to be very comfortable in attack and which has in their attacking line-up a group of Italian players, such as Domenico Berardi, Gianluca Scamacca and Giacomo Raspadori, who are called to be the new generation of the Italian national team.
