Saliba reaffirms commitment to Arsenal amid Real Madrid interest

Defender William Saliba has reaffirmed his happiness at Arsenal and his ambition to succeed in north London amid reports linking him with Real Madrid.
Speaking about his future, the French international said, "I am really happy here at Arsenal. I have two years and a half on my contract, and I want to continue here."
Saliba, who has been a key figure for Mikel Arteta's side, added, "I want to win big things with Arsenal. If you leave this club and you don’t win anything, then the fans will forget about you."
Despite his clear commitment to Arsenal, discussions over a new contract have yet to begin. "Not yet… because I have some years left on my contract. There is no rush at the minute," he explained when asked about potential extension talks.
Arsenal are reportedly preparing a lucrative deal that would make Saliba one of the club's highest earners, offering £250,000 per week to secure his long-term future.
Real Madrid remain interested in signing the 23-year-old as part of their defensive rebuild, but Saliba appears focused on achieving success with Arsenal. "We are very close (to winning titles). We will keep going," he stated confidently.
With his current contract running until 2027, Arsenal are determined to fend off interest from Los Blancos and ensure that Saliba remains central to their plans for years to come.
