Saliba: “hopefully” on track for new Arsenal deal

William Saliba has expressed optimism about a possible contract renewal with Arsenal in statements made during the pre-season tour in Singapore. The French centre-back is currently under contract with the club until 2027, but Arsenal are looking to secure his long-term future.
When asked about signing a new contract, Saliba said: "Yes, hopefully - of course there is nothing now but there is a good conversation with my agent and the club. Let's see."
The London club also aims to renew Bukayo Saka's contract, who, like Saliba, is entering the final two years of his current deal.
Recently, Gabriel, Saliba's regular partner at centre-back, extended his commitment to Arsenal until 2029. Before the friendly against Newcastle in Singapore, new signing Viktor Gyokeres was officially presented to the fans.
Saliba expressed his enthusiasm for the arrival of the Swedish striker: "We know how good he is, it's scary to play against him. I'm so happy to have him in my club. I'm sure that he will help us to win games and win trophies."
