Salado and Trezeguet gift Real Madrid and France shirts to Venezuela president

On Friday, ex-footballers Michel Salgado and David Trezeguet delivered Real Madrid and France shirts to the President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, in an official meeting at the presidencial palace in Miraflores, Caracas.
Both of them were welcomed by Maduro with the aim of "reconfiguring solid links" with national and international sporting organisations, according to state channel 'Venezolana de Televisión' (VTV), without offering more details on what they discussed.
Salgado learnt his trade at Celta Vigo, and became one of the best wing-backs wearing the Real Madrid shirt, and he hung up his boots in the competitive Premier League with Blackburn Rovers.
Additionally, he represented Spain more than 50 times, some of his appearances coming in the the Belgium and Holland Euros in 2000 and in the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
As for Trezeguet, he won the World Cup with France in 1998, as well as the Euros 2000.
The French-Argentinian played at Monaco, winning two titles, Juventus where he won two league trophies and at River Plate in Argentina.
