Sadilek to miss Euro 2024 after falling off bike

Czech national team midfielder Michal Sadilek, who was one of the 26 called-up players for the European Championship, was injured during a training session in Schladming (Austria), where his national team is training and where the player suffered a fall on a bicycle, the Czech football federation said on Sunday.
Sadilek, who played in Friday's friendly match against Malta, where he wore the captain's armband, then had a special training session that included a bike ride, during which he fell and "hurt his leg", the statement said.
Coach Ivan Hasek will announce Sadilek's replacement on Monday. Sadilek, who currently plays for FC Twente in the Netherlands, will leave after his side's friendly against North Macedonia.
He has made 24 appearances for the Czech national team and has scored one goal. He is one of seven players in the current squad who played in the last Euro 2020.
