The Belgium international has been heavily linked with a move to Italy from Russia but is now poised to move to the Chinese Super League for a quite staggering salary.

Axel Witsel has opted to snub Juventus in order to move to the Chinese Super League, according to multiple reports.

The Zenit midfielder had been heavily linked with a move to Turin, with Juve keen to bolster their midfield ranks.

However, a number of reports now claim that Witsel will instead move to Asia and pocket €18 million-per-year over a four-year contract.
