Rudiger put Germany ahead, but VAR disallowed it

Spain suffered a scare against Germany just before half-time. In the 39th minute, Antonio Rudiger got his head to the ball from a free-kick to put the Germans ahead, but the VAR saved Luis Enrique's men.
Hansi Flick's men had a free-kick and Kimmich put a lovely ball into the box. Rudiger was unmarked in the box and he headed past Unai Simon.
Germany managed to make it 0-1, but the goal was quickly chalked off. Nobody seemed to protest a possible offside, but the VAR alerted Danny Makkelie that the German was in an offside position.
The defender was near the penalty spot all on his own after getting away from Busquets. The midfielder offered little opposition and got away from him. He appealed for offside, but it was more half-hearted. In case, the VAR disallowed it.
