Rrahmani close to renewing Napoli contract

Napoli made a huge change to their squad last summer with the departures of Kalidou Koulibaly, Dries Mertens, Lorenzo Insigne and Fabian Ruiz, which led to a substantial reduction in the wage bill.

However, the Italian club are cruising through Serie A and are 18 points clear of the second-placed side in the standings. Club president Aurelio De Laurentiis has made it a priority to secure the continuity of Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

The Georgian is being targeted by Real Madrid, while the Nigerian striker is on Manchester United's radar. However, the renewal of Amir Rrahmani, who will sign until 2027, appears to be a done deal.

According to Nicolo Schira, the Kosovar defender, whose contract expires in June 2024, has already been given the green light to stay with the Neapolitan side. In addition, his salary will be increased to 2.5 million euros per year.
