Roy Keane admits his regret for turning Real Madrid down

Roy Keane is one of the most important player's in the history of Manchester United. The Irishman appeared 460 times for the Red Devils. A true Old Trafford legend.
However, the ex United captain has most recently made the news regarding his link to another one of Europe's biggest clubs. This being, Real Madrid. Keane recently faced the media in a press conference when presenting his new autobiography, 'The Second Half'. He revealed a number of interesting details regarding his life.
The most notable story he told was about how he could have played for Real Madrid in 2005, but he chose to turn them down. "I didn't want to move to Spain. Fear made the decision for me, fear of the unknown. And I made excuses for it: family, language, education", explained Keane.
However, 17 years on, Keane has admitted that he regrets his decision after saying that "I should've appreciated Real's offer more" and that it could have been "another opportunity in life". In the end, the ex Ireland international decided to move to Celtic: "At the time, I felt it was the right decision".
