Ronaldo's Al Nassr announce Jorge Jesus as new head coach

A new era in the dugout for Jorge Jesus. After his abrupt departure from Al-Hilal, the Portuguese coach will take charge of Al-Nassr for the 2025-26 season. The Saudi Arabian club announced on Monday afternoon, 14th June.

"Jorge Jesus is the coach of the club's first team. It is a one-season contract. We wish him and his staff success in this journey," read part of the letter published by the institution.

The Portuguese coach faces a new challenge which is none other than winning titles with Cristiano Ronaldo in the same team. They had never before coincided in a club or in the Portuguese national team, so it will be something new for both of them.

In this way, the Madeira-born player gets his way because one of the requests he had to continue -until 2027- was the signing of his compatriot. Said and done. What's more, the two shared confidences before this definitive step was taken.

Jorge Jesus has found work again after being sacked just over two months ago. It was with five games to go in the Saudi championship. From Al-Hilal, he now moves to Al-Nassr, one of the rivals.
