Romero sparked controversy with post following Arsenal derby defeat

Arsenal won the latest North London derby 1-0. Postecoglou's side were heavily criticised for the way they performed, but what is surprising is that some players were also unhappy with the way things are going for Spurs.

Cristian Romero made headlines after the game for retweeting Gaston Edul's words: "Tottenham are still not ready to fight because they are lacking in details".

"Tottenham were the only Premier League club to bring players back from international duty on their own and without their own logistics by decision of their management. It worked against them because their players arrived with less rest than the rest," continued the journalist. In addition, Gaston Edul pointed out that El Cuti "played with a feverish condition". 

The fact that Romero retweeted this message backfired and many criticised him for sharing such critical words towards his own team. In the end, he opted to delete the retweet and posted a message on his X account: "It hurts to lose a derby, but I have no doubt that we will turn this bad start to the season around. Let's all be together, even at this moment. Thank you all for supporting us," he said.

Tottenham fans believe that Romero has lost his focus and blame it on the possible interest of big clubs such as Real Madrid in his services. Everyone will be watching what he does against Coventry City if he plays in the EFL Cup.
