Rodri regretted after elimination: "We deserved to go through"

Rodri Hernandez, Spain's international midfielder, said at the end of the World Cup round of 16 match against Morocco that Spain "deserved to go through". "They were clear about how they wanted to play, we generated football, but that's how penalties are, we weren't very accurate".
"We're going home, we're very bad, it's one of my worst days. Morocco played as we expected, they played with eleven guys at the back, like every game they play, I don't know what else to say, I wish we had gone through," said Rodri on 'TVE'.
"Football is cruel, it doesn't understand fairness, it understands that the ball goes in, penalties are a lottery," said a crestfallen Rodri, who left the match with his head hung low.
The centre-back spoke about the penalties. "It depends on the day, I think we didn't score any, they scored almost all of them and we can only thank the Spaniards who have been by our side. We gave our all," said the Manchester City midfielder.
