The Regulatory Compliance Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has been analysing since Tuesday the information related to the La Liga referee Jose Luis Munuera Montero “as indicated by the codes of good governance”, as reported to 'EFE' by the Federation. Until the procedure is not finished, the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA) will not assign matches to him.
The newspaper 'AS' published this afternoon that the RFEF “is studying whether the referee's private business is incompatible with refereeing due to a possible conflict of interest”. Munuera Montero, who refereed the match between Osasuna and Real Madrid on Saturday, founded the company Talentus Sports, dedicated to sports consultancy and management, according to the newspaper.
The international referee, informed from the beginning of the process, is providing all the documentation that has been required so far from the RFEF. As soon as this analysis is completed, which will be carried out with all the necessary guarantees, the conclusions will be made public. During this period, the RFEF Technical Committee of Referees will not designate him for any match, RFEF sources confirmed to 'EFE'.
This referee, just a few days ago, was at the heart of criticism from Real Madrid fans. In El Sadar, he sent off Jude Bellingham for the now famous 'f*ck off' of the Englishman, in addition to not pointing out a possible penalty from Moncayola on Vinicius.
