Real Madrid unveil Club World Cup squad including key returns & new faces

In the Spanish capital they are already prepared for the Club World Cup. Madrid announced on Wednesday afternoon the list of 34 players for the new FIFA tournament, which includes Carvajal, Militao and the new signings, as well as the presence of up to ten academy players.

The Spanish full-back and the Brazilian defender have both returned from knee injuries. Both players continue to work on their fitness after going through a tough ordeal to get to the tournament in time. It is likely that they will get some playing time, although it will depend on Xabi Alonso.

The Basque coach faces his first challenge in the Los Merengues dugout and will try to have everyone ready from the start. Also present in the squad are new arrivals Huijsen and Alexander-Arnold, who reinforces the squad for this Club World Cup.

On the other hand, Xabi Alonso has called up ten youth players to join this adventure in the United States: goalkeepers Fran Gonzalez and Sergio Mestre; defenders Youssef, Diego Aguado, Jacobo Ramon, Jesus Fortea; midfielders Chema Andres, Mario Martin; and forwards Víctor Munoz and Gonzalo Garcia.
