Real Madrid suffer further setback as Rodrygo withdraws from training

Rodrygo has become the latest absentee for Real Madrid ahead of the game against Mallorca. The Brazilian striker left training after talking to Carlo Ancelotti during the warm-up, in the presence of the media.
After the chat, Rodrygo went to the dressing room accompanied by a member of the technical staff. The player's injury adds to the already numerous absentees affecting Los Blancos at this stage of the season.
Ancelotti will have to face the game at the Santiago Bernabeu without one of his most influential attackers. The club has not yet issued a statement on the exact nature of the discomfort that forced the player to withdraw.
Rodrygo looks set to be unavailable for the game against Mallorca, which is another setback for the Italian coach. The club will examine the player to determine how long he will be out of action in the hope that the Brazilian will recover soon and be ready for the Club World Cup in June.
With Rodrygo, the list of absentees now totals ten for Wednesday's game against Mallorca. Yesterday Lucas Vazquez and Vinicius joined the injured list. The rest of the injured players are Mendy, Alaba, Rudiger, Militao, Carvajal and Cavavinga, to which must be added the suspension of Tchouaméni.
