Real Madrid should not rush to attack, says Courtois

Bittersweet debut for Real Madrid after the 1-1 draw against Al Hilal. Thibaut Courtois spoke on ‘DAZN’ at the end of the clash and left his first impressions on the matter.
"The first half we played too slowly. We struggled to find the rhythm of the game. The penalty was a bit silly. Then we played faster and more dynamic. If we keep the line we played in the second half, it should help us," he began.
On the penalty missed by Fede Valverde: "Fede shoots hard, but he doesn't look at the goalkeeper, Bono goes to one way first and saves it because of that. It's a shame, but head held high for Fede, in the second half we were better and that's the line we have to follow".
"We have to look to add passes, not always want to go to attack, sometimes it's better to keep possession and move the ball from wing to wing and there will be room for one on one, if you go too fast there are two on one against you and.... in the second half we did well," he continued.
Finally, Courtois spoke about the role of the debutants: "It's our first game together. I think they did well and if there is something to correct we will correct it in the videos".
