Real Madrid's Modric & Vazquez will play in Club World Cup

In the last few days, rumours had been reported that Real Madrid was considering extending the contract of Luka Modric and Lucas Vazquez for another month so that they could play in the Club World Cup that will take place in the United States from June 15th to July 15th.
However, nothing could be further from the truth. The Spanish media ‘Relevo’ has confirmed that although the current contracts of the Croatian midfielder and the Spanish full-back run until June 2025, the renewals they signed included that they could play the Club World Cup with the ‘Merengues’.
Therefore, the future of both players at Real Madrid is still up in the air for next season, but what is certain is that they will be able to play in the international tournament this summer wearing white.
Luka Modric's renewal for another season seems a likely option, but Lucas Vazquez extending his commitment to Real Madrid seems more unlikely, especially with the almost certain arrival of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who recently announced that he is leaving Liverpool as a free agent this summer.
