Real Madrid open to offers for Rodrygo

The beginning of the Xabi Alonso's era on the Real Madrid bench has not been particularly good to Rodrygo. The Brazilian forward did not play against Pachuca, Juventus and PSG. Against Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund, he only came on at the very end of the match. His only start was in the opening match against Al-Hilal, during which he delivered an assist before being substituted at half-time.
Throughout last season, persistent rumors linked Rodrygo with a potential move away from Real Madrid. Clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal, and Al-Nassr were frequently mentioned as possible destinations. However, according to well-informed journalist Fabrizio Romano, such a move is not currently on the table. Rodrygo will not be joining Al-Nassr.
The Italian journalist revealed this Thursday that Real Madrid’s management has scheduled a meeting with the winger next week. While the club has reiterated its respect for the player's wishes, it is reportedly open to considering a transfer if Rodrygo expresses the desire to leave. The Brazilian winger is currently under contract until June 30, 2028, with a release clause estimated at around €100 million.
Signed from Rodrygo in June 2018 for €45 million, Rodrygo has only renewed his contract once—most recently in November 2023. Although he has consistently impressed since breaking into the first team, moments of being overshadowed by Vinícius Jr. and a dip in form during the 2024–2025 season have raised questions about his long-term future at the club.
