Franco Mastantuono recently renewed his contract with River Plate, but this does not stop Real Madrid from wanting his services. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish side have already sent scouts to watch the playmaker and will remain in the race for his transfer.

Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on River Plate youngster Franco Mastantuono. The promising Argentinian recently renewed his contract with his current club but this has not stopped 'Los Blancos' from maintaining their interest in the playmaker.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid are planning to send scouts to watch the 16-year-old. It is not the first time they have sent members of their staff to watch this talent live.

But Madrid will not have it easy if they want to bring him to the Bernabeu. Mastantuono is being scouted by emissaries from other big European clubs. PSG, who do not have him as a priority but are on their wish list, and Chelsea are the Spanish side's main rivals.

With the latest contract extension, the clause of the Argentinian star has increased to 45 million euros. This is the highest in Argentinian football. River's idea is to make sure they make a good profit if any club want to take away their promising talent.
