Rashford injury blow could spell end of Aston Villa loan

The bad news at Aston Villa comes in twos. After the elimination of the Villans from the FA Cup after losing 3-0 in the semi-finals against Crystal Palace, Unai Emery himself confirmed in the press room the injury of Marcus Rashford.

The striker was forced off in the 76th minute of the game against Manchester City. In addition, he was not included in the squad for the FA Cup semi-finals. After undergoing medical tests, these revealed that he is suffering from a hamstring injury.

Unai Emery explained: "He's injured. He got injured this week and yesterday we did a test: it's the hamstring".

"We will try to test him in every game, but he is injured and probably won't be available for a few weeks," he added.

It should be remembered that Rashford is on loan at Aston Villa and it is quite likely that he will not remain with the “Villains” for next season. He has a month and four games left to try to return to the field, curiously, on the last day of the Premier League against Manchester United, the team that still owns his rights.
