Rashford and Saul traded quick-fire goals

Gareth Southgate's men were the first to make their mark when Marcus Rashford finished off a flowing counter-attack in the 11th minute to make it 1-0.

Harry Kane started the move when he brought the ball down in the middle of the park, holding it up and waiting for the overlap of Luke Shaw. 

Shaw made a fine run before putting in an inch-perfect cross for the United youngster to calmly stroke past De Gea.

England's celebrations were short-lived, as Spain equalized just two minutes later through Saul.

The Atletico midfielder has a habit of scoring important goals, and he continued in that vein at Wembley when he got on the end of Rodrigo's intelligent cutback. Jordan Pickford got a hand to it, but couldn't keep it out.
