Raphinha crowned best player in La Liga's 2024/25 campaign

La Liga has awarded the accolade to the Barcelona forward following a season in which he was instrumental to the club's success, helping secure the league title as well as the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup.
Raphinha outpolled his teammates Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski and Pedri, along with Real Madrid stars Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham, as well as Isco (Real Betis) and Oihan Sancet (Athletic Club), according to an official La Liga statement.
In his third season at the Camp Nou, the 28-year-old international capped off a stellar campaign with 18 goals and nine assists. He succeeds Bellingham as the recipient of the La Liga award.
His impressive performances throughout the season led to a contract extension with Barcelona until 30 June 2028, signed on 22 May. Upon signing, Raphinha described it as a "dream" to play for Barcelona until the end of his career.
