Player suspended for chewing cocaine leaves

Guabirá Santa Cruz will not be able to count on the services of Mauricio Chajtur. The player has been at the Bolivian side for four years and was doing well, albeit from more to less.

The attacker tested positive in an anti-doping control for chewing cocaine leaves before every match, therefore he didn't pass the control and has been automatically suspended from all sporting activity.

"He's a non-smoking player, he doesn't engage in undisciplined behaviour. I am sorry about what happened. I am sorry for his family and for him being a young player with good potential," said President Rafael Paz in words collected by Goal.

Chajtur will have to choose between defending himself or accepting the facts and the ban that is imposed on him, which may be a year on the sidelines.
