Pavard rings alarm bells at Inter ahead of Barca showdown

The 'Nerazzurri' have been enduring a woeful week after two back-to-back defeats against Bologna in Serie A and city rivals AC Milan in the Coppa Italia midweek, which have seen their treble dream vanish with the end of the term approaching.
Ahead of the Champions League semi-final tie against Barcelona, Inter Milan have received another piece of bad news, with Benjamin Pavard forced to an early substitution against Roma on Sunday in the Italian top flight.
The French defender went down with an ankle issue just past the ten-minute mark. Despite his best efforts to play through the injury, he had to be replaced by Yann Bisseck, making him a doubt for Wednesday's trip to Catalunya.
Pavard's absence could be crucial for Simone Inzaghi, who is also set to be deprived of the services of Marcus Thuram for the first leg at the Montjuic. Inter's tight fixture schedule has seen them lose out on many key players, and possibly also on any titles this term.
