Paris FC and Lyon both thrown out of French Cup after abandoned tie

Chaos in France after the crowd trouble which occurred during the last 64 French Cup tie between second tier side Paris FC and Lyon. The French Federation have now taken a decision.
The game back on 17th December was abandoned at half-time with the score at 1-1 after both sets of supporters invaded the pitch. The match will not be replayed. Both teams have been thrown out and Nice will get a bye into the last 16.
The French FA (FFF) and their disciplinary committee have emphasised in the meeting this Monday "the disciplinary responsibility of the two clubs in the incidents which occurred during this encounter."
As well as being expelled from the competition, Lyon will not be allowed to take any away fans for the rest of the season and have been fined 52,000 euros. They will also have to pay for the damage caused at the stadium.
Paris FC have also hit with a 10,000 euro fine as well as five Ligue 2 matches behind closed doors.
