Palmer admits confusion over Donald Trump's presence in post-match celebrations

After Chelsea secured the title, Trump appeared on the podium to present the trophy – a move that had not been widely anticipated.
While such duties are typically reserved for FIFA officials or local dignitaries, Trump not only handed over the silverware but also remained alongside the players during the celebrations, standing next to captain Reece James as he lifted the trophy.
Footage from the event appeared to show Palmer quietly asking, "What's he doing?" in disbelief at the president's continued presence.
Reflecting on the moment after the match, the 23-year-old explained: "It was really noisy, so I couldn't hear much of what he said. He just congratulated us and told us to enjoy the win.
"I knew he was attending, but I didn't expect him to be on the stage with us when we lifted the trophy. It definitely caught me off guard," the player explained.
