Barcelona midfielder Pablo Torre underwent surgery on Thursday for a fracture to the fifth metacarpal bone in his left hand and is expected to return to pre-season training next week, according to the Catalan club.
The Cantabrian player was satisfactorily treated by doctor Xavi Mir, under the supervision of the medical services of the Catalan club, for the injury suffered during Tuesday's training session due to a blow.
Signed in the summer of 2022 from Racing Santander, Pablo Torre made 13 appearances for Barca's first team in the 2022-23 season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
The 21-year-old midfielder from Cantabria went on loan last season to Girona, where he played 29 games, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
After finishing his loan spell at the red and white club, Pablo Torre, whose contract with Barcelona runs until 2026, joined new coach Hansi Flick this week to start pre-season training.
