OFFICIAL: Wojciech Szczesny extends Barcelona deal until 2027

Barcelona and Wojciech Szczesny have reached an agreement for the Polish goalkeeper's contract extension until June 30, 2027, the Catalan club announced on Monday.

Szczesny arrived at Barcelona last October, shortly after hanging up his gloves, on a contract until the end of the season to cover for Marc-André ter Stegen's long-term injury.

However, he quickly secured a place in the starting eleven, ahead of Inaki Pena, and adapted well to the dressing room. The club has now rewarded his performance by renewing his contract for two seasons at the age of 35.

The Polish 'keeper has played a total of 30 matches in his first season for Barcelona, all of them as a starter. He has kept 14 clean sheets and conceded a total of 36 goals this season.
