OFFICIAL: Villarreal land Las Palmas full-back Sergi Cardona

Villarreal swoop for Sergi Cardona. The ‘Groguet’ team shore up their defensive line with a left back. After being released at the end of his contract with Las Palmas, he has opted for the Yellow Submarine.
The Catalan player has signed a contract with the Castellon club until 30th June 2027. Undoubtedly, the big step he had to take after a more than remarkable season in Gran Canaria.
Sergi Cardona played for Nastic de Tarragona before signing for Las Palmas. He excelled in the reserve team and then make his breakthrough in the first team, where he played a total of 117 games with the promotion to La Liga in his memory.
Now 25 years old, he reinforces Villarreal's backline alongside Willy Kambwala. It is worth remembering that Carlos Romero is a new Real Espanyol player and Alberto Moreno no longer belongs to the La Ceramica stadium outfit.
