OFFICIAL: Tsimikas signs new long-term contract with Liverpool

Liverpool have covered their backs when it comes to their left-back. Although most fans think of Robertson when someone talks about the Reds' left-back, it is also important to have players who can step up when needed.
Kostas Tsimikas has been a player used by Klopp whenever he has rested the Scottish full-back or when he has been unavailable through injury. That is why the Anfield side decided to renew the Greece international.
The former Olympiacos player is now committed to the English club after signing a new long-term contract, as announced on the Reds' official website and social media.
"Kostas Tsimikas has signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool FC," reads the statement issued by the Klopp's side.
The 27-year-old left-back played an important role for the former Dortmund boss last season, making 28 official appearances, 15 starts, providing six assists. This season he has already made two appearances for Liverpool and has started 1 game.
